KELLY DEMOSS & ROBERT (The Crooked Chiropractor) BUCKHANNON INDICTED FOR ON WIRE FRAUD, MONEY LAUNDERING CHARGES; BUCKHANNON IS STILL ON THE LOOSE!
BUCKHANNON HIRES DETROIT-BASED WHITE COLLAR CRIMINAL DEFENSE ATTORNEY
“Robert Lyle Buckhannon and Kelly Jane Demoss did conspire with each other to devise a scheme and artifice to defraud and to obtain money from Blackburne & Sons Realty Capital Corporation by means of false and fraudulent pretenses, representations, and promises using wire communications in interstate commerce.”
Nearly five years after a suspicious fire destroyed the On Deck, a Battle Creek sports bar, its former owner, Kelly DeMoss, and manager, Robert Buckhannon, the duo were indicted August 8, 2018 in federal court on various charges relating to a “conspiracy was to obtain money by means of false and fraudulent pretenses and representations to unlawfully enrich themselves, including by converting to their own personal use business loan proceeds fraudulently obtained from Blackburne that were intended for On Deck Sports Bar & Grill LLC”.
But Buckhannon, shown at left with his new bride, Olga, is still on the run, lolling around in Vail, Colorado and other vacation hot spots.
Where in the world is Robert Buckhannon, and how did he come up with the scratch to hire John D. Damak, a former prosecutor in Michigan's Wayne County Prosecutor's Office and the Michigan Attorney General?
Damak made an appearance yesterday on Buckhannon's behalf in United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan.
Details remain scarce, but Miss Fortune is actively working to bring you the story—the whole story, and nothing but the story.
And while we don't know where (and how) Buckhannon came up with funds to hire an attorney, we do know how Kelly DeMoss (or Kelly Buksar Flees, as she's now known) is paying for her legal representation: she isn't.
With the exception of a token payment of $300 per month, Buksar Flees' legal representation is court-appointed...you and I are paying for it with our federal tax dollars!
