MARK NOSS DUCKED ETHICS QUESTIONS ON GRAND TRAVERSE ACADEMY 2011 BOARD APPLICATION: Wonder Why?

Ten months after receiving at least $15,000 in cash transfer payments from Steven Ingersoll, Mark Noss refused to answer two key questions on a February 1, 2011 Lake Superior State University application for appointment to the Grand Traverse Academy board.

The questions, developed to elicit potential conflicts of interest, probed personal business dealings between Noss, his wife and the Academy.

Question 12, left unanswered, was direct and to the point:

“To the best of your knowledge, are there situations not described above which may give the appearance of a conflict of interest between you and the academy, or which would make it difficult for you to discharge your duties or exercise your judgment independently on behalf of the academy?”

Wonder why Noss didn't answer, and why no one in the Lake Superior State University charter school noticed his critical omission?
