However, back on July 17, 2015, Ingersoll sold 616 N. Grant, along with two other properties on the street (606 and 620) to Jeff and Cindy Bonem. The Bonems agreed to pay Ingersoll over $75,000 via land contracts for the three ramshackle properties. The couple, with thousands of dollars in outstanding civil judgments hanging over their head, included a recently filed wage garnishment.
On September 24, 2015, a hearing was held on the government's motion for an order restraining Ingersoll to "preserve assets". Judge Thomas L. Ludington issued an order on September 30 granting the government's motion which prevented Ingersoll from disposing of properties without Ludington's permission.
On December 7, Ingersoll filed an unopposed motion seeking permission to demolish the rotting hulk located at 616 N. Grant Street in Bay City, which Ludington granted on December 18.
So much for a home that was supposed to a crown jewel of Ingersoll's "front porch renaissance"!
